More Dr. Horrible: Everyone can sing along and also learn Horrible's TRUE and shocking identity!

I don't know if you realize this, but the Elfmanesque song I recorded years ago and placed in my Blogger profile is not an isolated event. I am a songwriter, and I have made up similar songs to the ones on Dr. Horrible, which is part of the reason why I'm so intrigued by it!

` You know, that, and the whole mad scientist theme. I can't resist. (Update: You can watch the whole thing here first!)

` Now, Dr. Horrible begins as a struggling mad scientist, like myself, living in a low-rent apartment, going to the laundromat, etc (which I can tell you actually turns out to be useful if you need to buy expensive mad scientist supplies).
` I think this song Brand New Day reminds me a lot of my own songs about the resolution I felt when I first started this blog. (Does anybody remember that?)
` Of course, while Dr. Horrible's true evil nature is surfacing and he is looking to kill the man who has humiliated him throughout the years and then stole his girlfriend (and his thunder), I on the other hand, was only eager about beginning to get my feet wet. In horribleness.

I just love the imagery! Dr. Horrible in his oversized chair, thinking about... being really, really big and shiny and white, his goggles glinting in the sun whilst that douschebag, Captain Hammer, is but a mere insect....
` Importantly, I must mention that while Dr. Horrible is the villain, he wears white while the superhero wears black - with an all-too familiar emblem of injustice. Personally, I'd say that Captain Hammer, while he is a total jock, may actually be somewhat more evil than Dr. Horrible.
` After all, we can see this quite nicely as, after Captain Hammer completely humiliates Penny - who is in the process of slinking out of the room in embarrassment - Dr. Horrible actually hesitates to kill his arch-nemesis. Now who's Slipping?

And after Dr. Horrible says, "that's not a good sound" he is suddenly sent flying across the room by one of Captain Hammer's giant fists. Soon we see that not only does Captain Hammer have no shame (being a stuck-up prick and all), he has no remorse either and doesn't hesitate one second to blow poor Dr. Horrible away.
` Unfortunately, as you can see in the Finale, things didn't turn out the way either of them had planned.... (Which is why Captain Hammer is "unavailable for comment for first time ever!")
` Warning: Ultimate Spoiler!!

Despite this backfiring, it has still sent Dr. Horrible to his goal of being accepted into the Evil League of Evil. But, take careful note that because he is haunted by the blood on his hands, his costume is now red rather than white. Either that, or the red and black signifies that he's super badass. I'm not sure which is more true....

` Now that we're at the end of the tale, let me bring up the subject of how Dr. Horrible become an evil doctor to begin with. I'd like to think that a photo can speak a thousand words....
That's right - before he was Horrible, he was... Doogie Howser, M.D. I always knew there was something... subversive about that young medical genius. I'm so glad he's turned out to be such a... colorful character.
` Go and watch Dr. Horrible - that'll be five bucks! Or not.

I love Buckaroo Banzai, too! Interesting how creepy angels and devils and rats and mice and mad scientists have all somehow influenced you and your art.

I just watched the first video and I really giggled when he said:
"All the angels sing because you're gonna die!"

Thanks for introducing me to Dr Horrible.

Isn't it just... horrible, Cara and Mona?

Oh, and Ghost, I watched Buckaroo Banzai last night. Since I couldn't persuade Lou Ryan to watch it with me I just sat next to him on the couch, wearing my headphones.
` He just stared at the screen anyway but without sound. Lololol!!!

He certainly looks it, so you may be right Seequine.

LOL! I just thought of something; Dr. Horrible just goes to show that the nerds eventually wind up dominating the jocks.
` At the same time, it doesn't pay to be both an evil genius and have a relationship at the same time.
