` Thanks to Anne's Anti-Quackery & Science Blog, I have come across a video of an Australian news segment exposing Hulda Clark and other strange swindlers who claim that electronic devices that get rid of the parasites that cause all ills, including cancer. (What!?)
` They even lifted the packaging and logo of a legitimate electronics company, making the owner very upset. Not only that, but they charge hundreds of dollars for, what he says, is about eight dollars (AU) worth of parts!
` How could anyone be so stupid as to believe this nonsense? Desparate people who are very ill. Unfortunately, those with AIDS must stop taking their medication for a month. Apparently, though, if one does this even for a week, the virus could then become immune to the meds if they are resumed.
` Since there is no feasible way these devices could work, this would inevitably be the case.
` Slowly, I am getting Lou to see just how ridiculous non-evidence-based medicine is. He says of the electronic products; "Just because all fringe medicine practicioners have this cliche claim that the government is trying to suppress them to make people sick doesn't mean they aren't. But I think we can safely say that these people are not being suppressed and they really are swindlers."

I don't think they're trying to make people sick, I just think they are annoying and try to make us buy their drugs. If you go to a good doctor, they won't let you have a drug you don't need.
They also won't prescribe electronic blood elextrifying devices that will cure all diseases but have never been tested to find out if it's true.
Didn't those exist in the Victorian ages?
` I didn't even think of that! Yes, I do remember seeing photos of 'electrifying' devices from the Victorian era that were alleged to cure diseases and such. Back then, they must have seemed so high-tech....
