` I apologize for being tardy with my response to Dawn’s comment: On Sunday, I had decided that writing it all down was taking too long to type on the internet stations and so I decided to take it home to finish for the next day. I found an already-transferred Word file in my CDC, opened it and erased the text, pasted my partly-finished response onto it – along with all the e-mails I have not been able to read – and clicked ‘save’.
` Back in my lab, I found that the file had not been saved at all! I’m not sure why this is. In any case, I would have to do it all over again, including the dredging up of my unread e-mails from my Trash folder!
` Now that I am on the computer with a floppy disk (hoping that this will work better), I have found that the floppy disk drive isn't working one bit! Not only that, but Yahoo deleted all of the messages in my Trash folder, so wiping out the existence of all my unread e-mails!
` I should have known... this kind of thing happens at the library.
` When I finally do get the means, typing up another response shall probably not take too long. In the meantime, you will find that the post below is indeed complementary to my response:

You have got to get the internet, Doctor! Besides, think of how lonely poor MAL must be without other computers to talk to!
` First, I need to install a phone line. Jeremy at MFire Tech Support wrote:
Hello,
Unfortunately, there's not really anything we can do to help you without
a phone line. We only provide dialup internet service and it requires a
standard phone line to work.
